How much does microneedling cost in Indianapolis?
Written by Jamie Gleason, MSN, FNP-BC · Owner, Üesthetics · Updated October 2026
Microneedling is one of the most searched skin treatments in Indianapolis, and one of the hardest to get a straight price on. Most practices list "starting at" and make you book to hear the rest.
We publish our pricing. Here are the real numbers, what the rest of the city charges, and the context that makes the difference make sense.
What we charge
At Üesthetics, microneedling is $300 per session, or $1,000 for a series of four. That works out to $250 per session when you commit to the series, which is what we recommend for anyone treating texture, acne scarring, or fine lines.
Every session includes 30 minutes of topical numbing, a full-face treatment, and aftercare guidance. Plan on about 90 minutes in the chair. There is no consult fee, and if we think microneedling is the wrong tool for your goal, we will tell you and point you to the right one.
What the Indianapolis market charges
Standard microneedling in Indianapolis runs about $250 to $400 per session at medspas and dermatology offices, with most landing near $300. Series pricing is common, usually three or four sessions for 10 to 20 percent off the single-session rate.
Two things push the number up fast. Adding PRP (your own platelet-rich plasma, drawn and spun in office) typically adds $150 to $300 per session. Radiofrequency microneedling, sold under names like Morpheus8 or Potenza, is a different device and a different price tier: expect $900 to $1,500 or more per session, with three sessions recommended.
So when you see microneedling quoted anywhere from $200 to $1,500, you are not looking at one treatment with wildly different markups. You are looking at three different treatments.
Your total is the series, not the session
One microneedling session gives you a glow for a few weeks. Collagen remodeling, the thing that actually changes texture and softens scars, takes repeated stimulation. That is why every honest provider recommends three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, and why you should compare series prices rather than single-session prices.
At our rates, a full series is $1,000. At a $400-per-session practice with no package, the same series is $1,600. Ask for the series price up front; a practice that only quotes the single session is not showing you the real number.
What a session is actually like
You arrive, we cleanse your skin and apply topical numbing for about 30 minutes. The treatment itself takes around an hour. A pen-style device creates thousands of controlled micro-channels across the face, which is what triggers your skin to rebuild collagen.
You will leave pink, like a mild sunburn, with possible pinpoint bleeding and a little swelling. Most people are back to normal activity the next day and can wear makeup after 24 hours. Skin looks refreshed by day three to five. Real texture change builds over about three months and holds for six to twelve, which is why we check in after your series to decide whether and when to maintain.
Who it helps, and who it does not
Microneedling earns its price for acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, and overall dullness. It is one of the few treatments that is safe across all skin tones, which matters in a city where a lot of laser menus quietly exclude darker skin.
It is the wrong tool for active acne breakouts (we treat those first), deep static wrinkles (that is neurotoxin or filler territory), and significant laxity (where a laser or energy device does more). It is also not for anyone pregnant, on isotretinoin within the past six months, or with an active cold sore. If any of that is you, we will say so at the consult rather than take your $300.
What about PRP, RF, and other add-ons?
You will see microneedling sold with a lot of extras around Indianapolis. Two come up constantly.
PRP (the "vampire facial") applies your own platelets over the channels. The evidence that it meaningfully beats plain microneedling is modest, and it adds $150 to $300 per session. RF microneedling (Morpheus8, Potenza, Vivace) adds radiofrequency heat to tighten as well as resurface. It helps with mild laxity, and it is priced accordingly at $900 to $1,500 or more per session.
We do not offer PRP or RF. For texture, scarring, and pores, which is what people actually come to us for, standard microneedling gets you most of the way at a fraction of the cost, and we would rather do one thing well than pad the menu.
What we do offer is exosomes. Exosomes are lab-derived growth-factor vesicles applied over the microneedling channels, and they do the job PRP is marketed for, with more consistent potency and no blood draw. They speed healing noticeably (less redness, faster return to makeup) and support stronger collagen response. The add-on is $200 per session. We recommend it for acne scarring and for anyone who wants minimal downtime between sessions; for a simple glow-and-texture series, plain microneedling is enough.
The one add-on we do recommend for the right patient is neurotoxin for pore size. A very dilute dose of Jeuveau, Dysport, or Xeomin placed superficially across the skin (rather than into muscle) reduces oil output and visibly tightens pores for about three months. It pairs well with a microneedling series for anyone whose main complaint is oily, textured skin, and we price it as neurotoxin, not as a surcharge. Ask about it at your consult if pores are your priority.
The Groupon math
You will find microneedling on Groupon for $99 to $150. Here is what that price usually buys: a shorter session, a less expensive device (sometimes a dermaroller, which is not the same thing), a provider with less training, and no series plan. The deal is designed to get you in the door once.
If a $120 session gets you a mild glow and no lasting change, you did not save $180. You spent $120 on nothing. A series at a practice that does this every day costs more up front and is the cheaper path to the result you actually wanted.
What to ask at any consult
- What is the price for the full series, not the single session?
- What device do you use, and how deep do you go? (Pen devices with adjustable depth, 0.5 to 2.5 mm, are the standard. If they cannot answer, leave.)
- Who performs the treatment, and what is their training?
- How many sessions do you expect I will need for my specific concern, and what happens if I do not see change after three?
- What is included in aftercare, and what does a touch-up cost?
The bottom line
Microneedling in Indianapolis should cost you about $1,000 to $1,500 for a full series of standard treatments, and you should walk out with a plan, not a single session and a shrug. At Üesthetics it is $300 per session or $1,000 for four, numbing and aftercare included, no consult fee, and a straight answer if it is not the right treatment for you.
Not sure microneedling is the right fit? A chemical peel is often the better first step for tone and mild texture, and we will tell you which one at your complimentary consult.
Microneedling questions we hear most
How much does microneedling cost in Indianapolis? Most Indianapolis practices charge $250 to $400 per session for standard microneedling. Üesthetics charges $300 per session or $1,000 for a series of four.
How many microneedling sessions do I need? Three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart for texture, scarring, or fine lines. Results build over about three months.
Does microneedling hurt? With 30 minutes of topical numbing, most people describe it as a light scratching or vibration. It is uncomfortable, not painful.
What is the downtime after microneedling? One to two days of redness like a mild sunburn. Makeup after 24 hours, normal activity the next day.
Is microneedling with PRP worth the extra cost? For most texture and scarring goals, the added benefit is modest. We do not offer PRP. We offer exosomes instead, which deliver growth factors more consistently with no blood draw, for $200 per session.
Is microneedling safe for darker skin? Yes. Unlike many lasers, standard microneedling does not use heat or light, so it is safe across all skin tones.
